The Painful Choice of 'Satellite Baby': a Canadian study of immigrants' choice to send babies overseas

The Toronto Star carried an article yesterday to introduce a new study on Canadian immigrants' 'painful' choice to send babies overseas to stay with their extended families. The research specifically looks at the Chinese community in Toronto for the 'satellite baby' phenomenon.

If interested in reading the original research article, it is available in the May/June 2009 issue of Infant Mental Health Journal:

Bohr, Y., & Tse, C. (2009) . Satellite babies in transnational families: A study of parents' decision to separate from their infants. Infant Mental Health Journal, 30(3), 265-286.
