Korean Social Science Data Archive (KOSSDA)

Dear Koreanists:

Today I want to tell you about a Korea-related database that has recently become available free of charge thanks to the Korea Foundation.

It is called the Korean Social Science Data Archive (KOSSDA).

Website: http://www.kossda.or.kr/eng/

Database information brochure: http://www.kossda.or.kr/eng/etc/KOSSDA_Brochure_E_201103.pdf

The database holds a vast range of quantitative and qualitative data and literatures across social science disciplines encompassing political, economic, social and cultural areas.

To get access, you need to go to the Korea Foundation website and register individually because the Foundation must pay a subscription fee for each user.

More detailed information and an explanation of how to apply can be found here:

http://www.kf.or.kr/eng/04_pub/pub_dat_pda01_01.asp

If you need any help in logging in or with other questions about the database, then please contact Ms. Young Ran SHIN (shinyr@kossda.or.kr or 82-2-767-9512) at the Korea Social Science Data Archve.
